Recall that lorries and long buses were the major alternative for long distance journey from east to Lagos , East to the North, West to old Eastern region and vice versa. The likes of Late Igwe Mamah of ”Ifesinachi Motors”, Chief Martins Eze of “Okechukwu Motors” and among others were the key players of the transportation industry then.
The founder of Peace Mass Transit Limited (PMT) is not just an entrepreneur but a great innovator that sees the future and prepares ahead. Maduka Onyishi employed tactics and made the usage of 14-16 comfortable seats in bus to turn to a luxury means of transportation in land especially with his company customer relation tactics.
The founder of Peace Mass Transit believes in incubation period in business, he has the spirit of determination which has enabled him to grow significantly without the fear of competition. This is seen in his entrance in Benin few years ago. Before now, Benin Transportation zone was dominated by God is Good Motors, Faith Motors etc but Maduka Onyishi still took the bold step to build a terminal in Benin just almost directly opposite Faith Motors terminal. As at today, the PMT Benin Terminal has transited from a small to a gigantic terminal.
Recently, the founder of this successful transport company came up with a huge project that surprised many people. Maduka Onyishi embraced education not only in supporting schools but this time to build a first class university that will offer essentials courses and been a guru in transportation, the new university will redefine another transition in land transportation either as a course, case study or research project.
Maduka University is a huge project that is set to develop the axis of Ekwegbe in Igbo Etiti Local Government Area and Opi Nsukka in Nsukka Local Government Area.
