Johnny Depp is a popular and most recognized American Hollywood
actor, producer, and a musician who was born on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro,
Kentucky, and was raised in Florida. In the early 1980s, Johnny Depp started
his career with a small role in film and television shows. The small role he
played was a breakthrough role in the movie titled “21 Jump Street”. This movie
made him very popular at first instance.

Early Life & Education of Johnny Depp
On 9th June, 1963, Johnny Depp was born in Owensboro,
Kentucky, Florida. His parent’s name is, Betty Sue Palmer and John Christopher
Depp who were from Kentucky also. Johnny’s father was a civil engineer. They
were moving around together more frequently.
Johnny spent most of his childhood in Miramar, Florida since
when he was seven years old. Johnny Depp was a shy guy and an introvert when he
was small. This made him to find it very difficult to adapt in school. He was
often bullied by his classmates, which led him to retreat into a world of his
own, where he would draw and play music.
When Johnny Depp was 15 years old, his parents divorced. This
led him to drop out of school. He Started playing in garage bands before he
eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. During this whole
process, he was opportune to meet with Nicolas Cage who encouraged him to
pursue acting instead of music. He took the advice and began studying acting at
the Loft Studio in Los Angeles.

In early 1980s, Johnny Depp started his acting career with a small role in films like “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984) and “Platoon” (1986). Also, this was his breakthrough role as the lead in the hit television series “21 Jump Street” (1987-1990) that made him a household name. The show was a huge success and made Depp very famous and a teen idol.
Johnny Depp acted several other movies after acting “21 Jump
Street”. He was playing varieties of roles in several movies like: Tim Burton’s
“Edward Scissorhands” in the year 1990, “Benny & Joon” in the year 1993, “What’s
Eating Gibert Grape” in the year 1993, and “Donnie Brasco in the year 1997.
After he finished acting interesting movies in the 1990s, he played
a major role in a blockbuster movie released in 2003. He took on the role of
Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black
Pearl.” The film was a massive success with Depp returning to the role of
Captain Jack in each one.
Johnny also has interest in music. He has played guitar in several
bands including The Kids and P. He has many soundtracks which has been featured
in many movies.
Johnny Depp remains a highly respected personality in the movie
industry because he has won many ACADEMIC awards and other awards for his work
on screen, including a Golden Globe for his performance in “Sweeney Todd: The
Demon Barber of Fleet Street” (2007).

Johnny Depp has been married twice, his first marriage, he got married
to Lori Anne Allison who is a makeup artist from the year 1983 to 1985(2 years
marriage). His second marriage was with Amber Heard an actress from the year
2015 to 2017(2 years marriage also). Amber accused Johhny of physical abuse
which johnny has openly denied it.
From his marriage, he had two children namely, Lily-Rose Melody
and John Christopher “Jack” Depp iii. He had his children with his former
partner Vanessa Paradis. Johnny has been very close to some popular musicians
like Marilyn Manson and Keith Richards.
Depp had many legal issues which is made public such as; a defamation suit against Heard, and Vandalism and assault cases. He has been arrested severally for this type of offenses.
Even though Depp faced all this challenges in his career, he
still remain unshakable and a popular figure in the entertainment industry and
he has many devoted fans who admire his talent.
